1. iStudents for Mental Health – Scholarship for Mental Health First Aid Training
Interested in public service or community building? Looking to do some professional development over the summer?
iStudents for Mental Health is offering four full scholarships for future information professionals to receive mental health first aid training through the Mental Health Commission of Canada (http://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.ca/en).
Current MI and MMST students are eligible. Deadline to apply is Friday, March 15th, 2019.
This scholarship is made possible thanks to funding from the UofT Faculty of Information, and support from Dean Wendy Duff & the Master of Information Student Council.

2. ACA & LWB Student Chapters – 4th Annual Human Library
The Association of Canadian Archivists Student Chapter and Librarians Without Borders Student Chapter at the University of Toronto invite you to our annual Human Library event! This year, the ACA and LWB Student Chapters are teaming up to take over the Inforum Library and bring you an even greater event. Get the chance to meet and chat with prominent information professionals from the GTA!
Learn about the work that these information professionals do, the knowledge and skills required in their speciality, and the paths and strategies that got them there.
Students will ‘check out’ a professional for 10-15 minute sessions to get some one-on-one time with interesting and diverse information professionals. Ask them anything that comes to mind about their work!
Refreshments will be served. All Faculty of Information (UofT) students and staff are welcome!!
