MISC ELECTIONS


MISC holds two elections, one in the Fall, and one in the Winter, for General Council are held to fill positions for the following academic year. The Winter Elections are held in late March or early April. Fall elections are held within the first month of the Fall term.

FALL ELECTIONS


The MISC Fall Election is officially underway! It is currently the nomination period and the deadline for the nominations is Monday, October 5th, at 11:59pm. To nominate yourself for any of the open roles, please fill out the following form linked below ↓: 

TIMELINE

The MISC Fall Elections occur the first month of the fall term. When more information regarding the fall election timeline is released, you will receive an email in your inbox, and more information will be released below ↓. 

  • Self-nomination for roles deadline: Monday, October 5th, at 11:59pm
  • Silent period: October 6-8
  • Voting period: October 9-16

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Members of MISC need to be full-time and/or part-time students registered in the Master of Information program at the Faculty of Information of the University of Toronto who have paid the membership fees.

For the concentration representatives, each concentration representative must be from that respective concentration (ie. an ARM representative must be an ARM student).
