WHAT IS MISC?


The Master of Information Student Council (MISC) is a group of elected volunteers that work to improve student life for MI students in the UofT Faculty of Information. Elected members take on various positions, such as advocating for student needs with various student groups, organizing events and professional development opportunities, and creating a sense of community among students. All of MISC’s work is done by and for MI students.

MISC'S MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of the Master of Information Student Council (MISC) is to: 

Represent and advocate for Master of Information (MI) students within the iSchool at the Faculty of Information.

Liaise between the MI students and the Faculty of Information, as well as the University of Toronto.

Provide support for enrolled MI students through professional, social, and academic committees of the MISC and the Faculty of Information.

Collaborate with other student groups and members within the Faculty of Information.

Improve the quality of the information community at the Faculty of Information for MI students, the university, and the broader information community.
