Welcome iSchool students!!! To kick off the first year of your Master’s program, your student council committees have organized a (free!) BBQ, games to help you get acquainted with your peers, and tours to help get you familiar with the campus, including some great recommendations for places to eat. Come join us at the Bissell lawn, just outside of the Faculty of Information building at 140 St. George St. on Wednesday, September 7th from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm!
You’ll have a chance to hear from some of the many services offered to you as students (i.e., Mentors, Tech Fund). You’ll also get to meet several second years in varying concentrations, so feel free to prepare any questions you may have regarding the program, U of T, or Toronto in general.
Please RSVP using the Eventbrite link above to receive lunch. You will have a choice of Beef Burger, Beef Hot Dog, or Veggie Burger + beverage. Whether it’s your first year or you’re a returning Master of Information student, come join us for some drinks at the Fox and Fiddle (280 Bloor St. W, Toronto)! Reunite with your peers after the summer, meet your new incoming peers, and have a fun start to the last weekend before BACK TO SCHOOL! We will be meeting in the student lounge (room 705) at 8:00 pm if you would like to walk over with us, otherwise we will be at the pub at 8:30 pm. Feel free to stay out as long as you’d like! Hello incoming students! September is just around the corner, which means we’re only a few weeks away from Orientation. The BBQ and Pub Night are being organized by MISC’s Social Committee in collaboration with the Master of Museum Studies Student Association (MUSSA). These events will allow you to interact with your mentors as well as other incoming MI and MMSt students at the iSchool. I hope to see you all there!
