Teodora Naydenova (Master's Recruitment and Admissions Representative)
Teodora is a second year MI student specializing in the LIS concentration. With respect to academia, her interests lie in academic libraries and digital initiatives.
Some fun facts about Teodora: When she was little, her biggest dream was to be a rock star, but when she finally purchased her first guitar she could never manage to get her short fingers around the strings properly. However, over the years she has managed to become a total pro at air guitar. Rock and Librarianship seem to be on opposite ends of a spectrum, and she is not sure when and how she managed to cross from one end to the other, but she has and she loves it.
Teodora is also a huge Alice in Wonderland fan and by extension she loves all books that are odd, surreal, and magical (fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, Harry Potter, Fifteen Dogs to name a few of her favourites).
Teodora is very happy to be a part of MISC as an Admissions Committee Representative and is excited to help build the future student community of our faculty.
This representative attends and contributes to all MISC meetings and is allotted one vote. The Admissions Committee for the Faculty of Information reviews applicants’ grades, references, and the strength and quality of personal statements and CVs. The MISC’s representative sits on this committee to voice opinions and assist the committee on behalf of the MI student body.
This representative will also fill one of the faculty council positions.
